This spring, students in CUP’s Youth Education programs have been hard at work using art, design, and collaborative research to investigate social justice issues impacting their communities. We’re excited to share what they learned and see their final design projects. Mark your calendars and join us for three exciting debut presentations!

1. Submerged

Join us for the world premiere of Submerged! CUP Teaching Artist Chaparro and students from the School for Climate Justice teamed up to investigate why subway stations flood, and how we can work toward a greener future. Join us on Monday, June 6th at 5:00PM EST on Zoom for the debut of their final project!

2. Free on Paper

Teaching Artist Hugo Rojas and students from the Bronx School for Law, Government, and Justice spent the semester exploring the difference between probation and parole. We hope you’ll join us on Wednesday, June 7th at 5:30PM on Zoom for their final presentation!

3. Getting Nowhere or Going Places?

Students at KAPPA International High School collaborated with Teaching Artist Cade Smith to investigate accessibility in New York City’s public transit system. Join us for their final presentation on Monday, June 13 at 5:00PM.
