Open Call for designers!

Open Call for designers!

CUP is looking for talented designers, visual artists, and other creative workers to collaborate on the 2020 issues of Making Policy Public, our series of fold-out posters that use graphic design to explore and explain complex policies.

We’re looking for visual thinkers with an interest in social justice and policy and who can bring unique visual solutions to the design challenges presented by complex policy issues. Together, we’ll collaborate with community organizations to take on complex issues and break them down into a simple, accessible, visual tool. Past projects have covered topics like navigating public housing, understanding Title IX, and nail salon workers’ rights, to name a few.

Making Policy Public projects are 8-10 month collaborations of CUP, community organizations and design professionals. Designers receive an honorarium of $5,000 for their participation.

Applications are due by noon, EDT on August 12th – click here for application guidelines and more about the program!
