You're invited! Students present DataFace!

You’re invited to the online debut of DataFace!

CUP recently collaborated with students from the Bronx School for Law, Government & Justice and Teaching Artist Hugo Rojas to investigate how the NYPD uses facial recognition technology and its impact on local communities.

Students made stop-motion animations, created face jewelry, surveyed community members, and interviewed key stakeholders working on the issue. The crew gathered what they learned and teamed up with Stephanie Winarto to create DataFace! — an interactive website that breaks down the issue.

Join us on Google Meet to get to know the students and hear about their creative process!

Thursday, May 21st, 4:00-5:30pm
